Antique Majolica Ostrich Centerpiece Tall Stand with Vase – 20 inches
Our mother loved majolica from her travels in & home in Italy. She loved the earthen pottery look & feel of majolica, & the colors of earthen tones that were often used to decorate majolica. This is a wonderfully whimsical characterization of an ostrich bird leaning against a palm tree & holding a platform with a vase on top. It is assembled in 2 separate pieces so that you can use the majolica bird stand alone, or the American pottery vase alone or together as we do on our jungle theme table. All together – both pieces are 20 inches tall; separates the bird stand alone is 11” & the vase 9’ tall. The colors are classic shades of green & crème & brown. We show it with a wonderful bouquet of flowers from our garden – hydrangeas with many different colored flowers. This set is in excellent vintage condition. It will arrive to your home – ready to use in a multitude of ways – together as centerpiece, or separately as unique majolica whimsical bird stand & vase.
