Antique M W & Co Mallory Wheeler Iron Heart Padlock With Key Working 1880s For Sale

An authentic late 19th-century wrought/cast iron heart-shaped padlock (smokehouse style) made by Mallory, Wheeler & Company.  Manufacturer: Mallory, Wheeler & Co. (stamped ⁠M.W. & CO.⁠ on the swinging escutcheon plate).  Age: Circa 1870s–1890s.  Condition: Fully functional and working! The key turns smoothly, releasing the shackle, and locks firmly into place.  Includes: Comes complete with its matching iron bit key.  Finish: Features an authentic, untouched aged patina with natural surface oxidation and pitting. No artificial polishing, chemical dipping, or wire-brush cleaning has been done, preserving its original historical character.  Dimensions: Measures approximately 3 inches in length.
