Antique leather covered cosh / billy club / truncheon / sap style impact weapon. Acquired from a military collector’s estate, but couldn't find other comps, exact age, origin, and use are unknown.
The piece appears to be made with a heavy leather-covered body and handle, with an attached leather wrist strap/lanyard. It has a dark aged patina, worn leather surface, cracking, scuffs, areas of loss, old wrapping, and general antique wear throughout.
Could be of interest to collectors of antique police items, militaria, security equipment, trench art/field gear, or early self-defense objects.
