This antique large German "hunting" style Black Forest Cuckoo Clock from Germany is a vintage piece with stag, deer and bird carved motifs and a rectangular shape. Made of black forest wood, it features Roman numerals on the clock face and an analogue display. The clock is powered by 2 weights and bears the signature style of Black Forest craftsmanship, perfect for any room in the home. With its rich brown finish and original mechanical movement dating back to the late 19th century, this cuckoo clock is a unique and charming addition to any collector's display. This cuckoo clock would need repair and a service the cuckoo mechanism keeps going untill the weight reaches its length and then stop. I believe it has a (wire missing) that starts and stops the cuckoo from working during the night as there is a hole underneath that a wire should be. Also the cuckoo bird though sounds , but it dont exstend out of its gate and the gate should have a small wire attached to the bird and gate. Which also is missing. The bellows and the cuckoo's sound works very well. The clock time works fine and keeps good timing by adjusting the pendulum. I will secure the chains with ties so they don't come off the cogs when posting.I have explained as much as I can about this cuckoo clock if you require any more information please don't hesitate to contact me.This would be ideal for a cuckoo clock repairer or restorer who appreciate such a beautiful piece of Antigue German clock mechanism. please see all my photos and video as these form part of my discription .This is sold as seen and in accordance with my discription
