Antique Japanese large ceramic Jar with calligraphy and lid For Sale

Beautiful hand painted landscape wrapping around the jar. There is a small nick in the lid handle of the jar shown in pictures. This is old and was used at one time - long ago. Some enamel cracks forming. Generally in nice shape for the age.I tried to translate without luck. If you know the translation I would appreciate you contacting me.I assumed Japanese but it may be another asian culture.
