This listing is for a Antique Japanese Seikosha Alarm Clock & Siberian War Medal IN BOX. The pair is allegedly a US soldier’s World War Two WW2 Trophy. I believe the medal is from the Siberian Intervention, but I am no expert. The clock has a patent in Japanese characters on the underside. Looking this up lead me to some documents in Japanese (available upon request) that with my rough translation seemed to indicate the clock was made in the late 1890s to just after the turn of the century. I am unsure how a US soldier came into possession of these items, unfortunately the provenance has been lost to time. The clock is running, the alarm is not functioning. I believe the little joint connector for the alarm shaft has become unhooked, you can hear it rattle around there. I have not opened up the case or movement. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of styles of decor. It is an excellent piece for collectors, gifting, display / decor, gifting, and more!
It is in good condition, with no major damage. I have not opened it up to avoid damage as stated. Appears to be fully complete. Some minor wear and patina from age as expected. Face is marked Seikosha.
Thank you for your consideration, reasonable offers are always considered. Please see photos for details & measurements, comes as is. As with any clock, this one may require set up and/or adjustment after shipment, however rest assured it will be packaged with extreme care.
