Up for sale is a stunning authentic antique Japanese Kutani porcelain dish/platter featuring a scalloped rim and rich, detailed hand-painted decoration.
Design & Detail: The central scene depicts a traditional Japanese narrative with samurai warriors in detailed armor, a maiden figure, pine trees (matsu), a flying bird, and intricate gold overlay. The rim is embellished with classic Kutani brocade patterns in iron-red, green, and heavy gold gilt.
Markings: Hand-signed on the reverse in red enamels \"九谷 月之製\" (Kutani, Tsuki no Sei – \"Made by Tsuki no, Kutani\").
