Antique Japanese Banko ware figural teapot dating to the early 20th century, likely circa 1920s–1930s.This unusual teapot is modeled as a bright red tomato or pumpkin with raised green leaves and features the traditional Three Wise Monkeys representing See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Speak No Evil.The matching lid is formed as a large green leaf with a dark stem finial. The spout is also modeled as a leaf, and the teapot retains its woven rattan-style overhead handle attached to sculpted branch-form mounts.Measures approximately 6 inches across the body and approximately 5 to 6 inches tall with the handle raised.
