Antique c. 1894–1931 Haviland & Co. Limoges France "Ranson" (Schleiger Blank #9) Scalloped White Porcelain Sugar Bowl with Married Pink Rose & Gold Trimmed LidThis is a lovely antique French Limoges porcelain two-handled sugar bowl made by Haviland & Co. in Limoges, France, stamped on the underside in green underglaze "Haviland / France" (used 1894–1931).Design & Collector Note (Base + Married Floral Lid):
- The Sugar Bowl Base: Crafted in Haviland's iconic and most sought-after "Ranson" mold (Schleiger Blank #9, introduced in 1893), featuring a pure snow-white translucent porcelain body, a flared and scalloped skirted foot, soft vertical fluting, twin scrolled handles, and a ruffled pie-crust top rim.
- The Decorated Lid: Topped with a charming antique scalloped porcelain lid decorated with delicate pink rose sprays, green foliage, a gold-trimmed loop finial, and a scalloped gold rim. Please note that because the Ranson base is pure unpainted white and the scalloped lid is decorated with pink roses and gold trim (resting neatly inside the scalloped collar), this is a "married" lid pairing that gives the piece a wonderful French Country / Shabby Chic look—or can be used separately by collectors needing either the white Ranson #9 sugar bowl base or the pink rose & gold lid!Condition:
In excellent antique condition! Both the white Haviland Ranson sugar bowl base and the pink rose/gold lid are completely free of chips, cracks, hairlines, or crazing. The white porcelain is bright and glossy, and the pink floral transfers and gold trim on the lid show only gentle, normal age wear on the loop finial. Please zoom in and examine all photos closely, as show the exact sugar bowl and lid you will receive.Shipping & Professional Packaging:
The sugar bowl base and lid will be wrapped separately in multiple thick layers of bubble wrap so they cannot touch or shift during transit, and shipped inside a sturdy box via USPS Ground Advantage with tracking included. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
