Antique Hand-Painted Bavarian Portrait Vase, Cranberry Glass w/ Gold For Sale

This is a beautiful antique Bavarian portrait vase in cranberry glass. It features a really lovely hand-painted portrait of a woman reading a letter. The beautifully rendered portrait is on a porcelain medallion applied to the glass. The glass itself is decorated with hand-painted gold morning glory vines, leaves, and flowers. There are no chips or cracks, but there is some wear to the gold floral decoration and the gold trim on the rim, foot, and stem that is consistent with its age. There is a mark on the bottom, but I have not been able to identify the maker. It was likely made in the 1890s....it\'s a gorgeous and special piece.
11 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches across the broadest point.
