Antique H. W. Immke Princeton IL Photographer CDV Carte de Visite Boy Portrait For Sale

This is a genuine antique Carte de Visite (CDV) featuring a portrait of a young boy, likely from the late 19th century. The reverse side of the card clearly displays advertising for H. W. Immke, Photographer, located over Charlton\'s Drug Store near the Depot in Princeton, Illinois. The advertisement also notes that negatives were preserved for future orders and that work was done \'in the latest style,\' offering copies, enlargements, and colorization in India ink or watercolors. Frames and albums were also available. This piece offers a fascinating glimpse into Victorian-era photography and local Illinois advertising history. The card shows typical age-related wear, including some discoloration and minor corner wear, consistent with its age. A wonderful addition to any collection of Victorian trade cards, antique photography, or Illinois ephemera.
