Antique H. Boker & Co. Pick Bone Pen Knife Nail File Germany c1891–1910
Antique H. Boker & Co. Pick Bone Pen Knife Nail File Germany c1891–1910
Beautiful early pick bone is the centerpiece of this antique H. Boker & Co. gentleman’s pen knife. A warm cream background contrasts with dense, irregular brown picking across both handles, giving this slender knife an especially distinctive appearance. The long bar shield and small rounded end bolsters complement the bone beautifully.
Features a spear-point main blade with a long pull, secondary pen blade, and nail file. “H. Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery” markings, reverse tree stamps, and the secondary blade’s “Germany” marking support an approximate manufacturing date of 1891–1910.
Used antique condition, with scratches, patina, spotting, and areas of pitting on the blades and file. Visible cracks around the bone’s end pins are documented in the close-up photographs. The shield and bolsters show surface wear.
An appealing early Boker whose pick bone, slim profile, and traditional bar shield give it considerable collector character.
