An authentic antique German/Austrian porcelain hunting pipe (Gesteckpfeife), showcasing classic alpine sporting heritage and Central European folk craftsmanship.
Markings & Hardware: The silver-tone collar rim features two crisp factory stamps struck inside recessed rectangular cartouches: the metal smith’s hallmark \"C [Symbol] K\" (CTK) and pattern/model number \"1012\" (or 10 ½). The hinged windcap and pierced collar assembly are crafted in traditional Neusilber (German nickel silver) / silvered mount, displaying authentic vintage patina and a functional hinge/latch.
Porcelain Bowl: Beautifully hand-painted with a finely detailed woodland scene depicting a standing doe and resting fawn set against alpine trees and mountain peaks. Finished with original gold gilt line accents around the glazed porcelain fittings.
Modular Stem Construction: Classic multi-piece construction complete with an ebonized carved wooden joint, flexible woven-fabric stem, turned horn/wood mouthpiece, and original decorative retaining cords.
Condition: Good antique condition showing genuine age and character. The porcelain bowl retains vivid hand-painted enamel color and lustrous glaze with no observed chips, cracks, or repairs. The metal windcap mechanism retains its original aged patina and operates smoothly. The corded stem and fittings are intact with minor, expected age-appropriate surface wear.
