Antique (early 1900s) German glass beer stein with hinged pewter lid. The lid has a white porcelain insert decorated with “Prosit” in traditional blackletter script and a small floral motif. The glass body is paneled/faceted with an applied handle.“Prosit” is the classic German toast meaning “to your health” or “cheers” or “be well.”
Condition: Good vintage condition. Glass appears free of chips or cracks from photos. Pewter lid has expected age patina. Hinge works. Please see all photos as they are part of the description.6.5” tall to tip of thumb lift
