Description
Beautiful antique German porcelain floral basket ensemble consisting of one large centerpiece basket and four coordinating miniature baskets.
The large basket is exceptionally decorative, featuring intricate openwork woven porcelain construction surrounded by dense hand-applied floral decoration. The flowers include masses of delicate blue forget-me-not-style blossoms together with pink and yellow dimensional roses, green foliage and gilt accents.
The four smaller baskets repeat the woven porcelain construction and floral decoration, creating a wonderful matching display group.
Several pieces retain a blue porcelain maker/decorator mark on the underside, photographed in detail. The exact German maker has not been conclusively identified, so this set is being described conservatively as German/Dresden-style porcelain rather than attributed to a specific factory.
