Antique German 1880-1890s Lithopane Handpainted Porcelain Stein Tankard: $50.00
Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: The price is for one antique German handpainted porcelain stein with pewter lid and Lithopane scene on the bottom. Dates to the Late Victorian period to the 1880s or 1890s. Unmarked as to maker. Marked 1/2 L on side. Ornate pewter lid. What makes this German stein special is the Lithopane scene on the inside bottom. You don\'t notice the scene when looking inside until you hold it up to the light. The lithopane scene looks like a farming scene. Antique. The stein is guaranteed over 100 years old. Good condition for age. No chips, cracks, or repairs. There is some wear to the paint mostly on the red/brown rim lines. The lid is correct but is a little loose and doesn\'t sit perfect. Beautiful collectible antique with great Lithopane.
