Condition Report
This knife is in excellent antique condition for its age and has been very well preserved.
• Handles: The genuine stag horn scales are exceptional, showing beautiful deep amber and dark brown character. There are no cracks, chips, or shrinkage gaps around the pins or bolsters.
• Steel/Blades: The carbon steel blades show an attractive vintage patina with light surface scratching and minor age peppering. They are completely free of heavy pitting, active rust, or destructive grinder marks. The factory tang stamps and "I*XL" markings remain incredibly sharp and legible.
• Mechanics: Solid construction. The brass liners and steel backsprings are straight and tight without structural gapping. [Note to seller: You may want to add a brief sentence here regarding the "snap" or walk-and-talk of the blades when opening/closing].
