Sevres
We are selling this finely painted Sevres porcelain plaque. This decorative plaque features a great painted scene of a traveling bard or musician approaching a fancy lady to enquire about work or housing. This is a common old scene for 19th century paintings but it is very unusual to see it with two women as the characters. This very finely painted wall plaque is signed on the front Armand and signed for Sevres on the back.
Condition: Good condition with some wear on the gilding, small group of firing flaws above the bards head.
