Antique French Porcelain Travel Inkwell - T. H. Paris Patented Spring Cap Mechanism, Circa 1890 with intact glass liner. This piece features a fine white porcelain body elegantly decorated with a delicate blue floral pattern. Unlike standard travel inkwells encased in leather or plain metal, this version utilizes the decorated porcelain itself as the main reservoir body. The top features a brass lid stamped with the authentic makers validation: \"ENCRIER PORTATIF - T. H. PARIS\". T. H. was a premier Parisian mechanical worshop of the Victorian era, famous for designing high-quality, patented spill-proof writing hardware.
Condition: The inkwell is in excellent antique condition. The blue and white porcelain body is bright with vibrant patterning. The brass cap shows age appropriate patina. The original internal glass seal liner has survived the last 130+ years. The lid/hinge is intact and functions well.
Marks on the base impressed \"152-3\".
