Antique French Porcelain Covered Bowl Gilt Bronze Mounts Hand Painted Floral For Sale

A richly detailed French porcelain covered bowl in a distinctive pale green ground, hand painted with colorful floral bouquets and embellished with scrolling gilt decoration. The porcelain is set within elaborate gilt bronze mounts with a pierced gallery, foliate tripod feet, scrolling side handles and an artichoke-form finial.

The combination of the soft green ground, painted roses and architectural metalwork gives the piece the character of late 19th- and early 20th-century French decorative porcelain. The underside bears a hand-painted French mark.
