✂️ ANTIQUE ENGLISH BRASS CHEROOT & CIGAR CUTTER ✂️
A handsome antique scissor-form cheroot and cigar-tip cutter, likely dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian period.
This piece was acquired from a seller in the United Kingdom who represented it as locally made. It bears no visible maker’s mark, so its precise manufacturer and place of production cannot be independently confirmed.
Compact enough for a gentleman’s pocket or smoking case, this clever tool uses a circular opening and pivoting steel blade to neatly remove the capped end of a cheroot or small cigar. Its honest patina and wonderfully simple mechanical construction make it an appealing example of period British tobacciana.

✨ CONDITION
Good antique condition with a fully functional cutting mechanism. The cutter opens, closes and operates perfectly.
The brass displays an attractive naturally aged patina with expected surface scratches, small marks, oxidation and uneven coloration from age and previous use. The dark steel blade shows oxidation and surface wear but remains intact and functional, with no obvious chips or major damage. The pinned joints appear secure.
The piece has not been aggressively polished, allowing its authentic antique character and patina to remain intact. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
A distinctive little piece of British smoking history for any collection of antique tobacciana, gentleman’s pocket tools or Victorian and Edwardian curiosities. 🎩✨
