RARE Early American Pattern Glass "Bullet Emblem", aka "Eagle & Shield", aka "Eagle & Arms " clear non-flint glass sugar bowl and lia. The lid teatures a 3-dimensional bullet finial on top of a U.S. shield. The footed base features embossed spread wing eagles with shields at their feet. Embossed cannons alternate between the eagles. I believe this pattern was made by the U.S. Glass Co., Pittsburgh, PA, circa 1898.
This sugar bowl and lid measures 6 1/2" tall X
41/2" in diameter.
Very good antique condition. Some small flea bites on the bowl rim, as pictured.
