Antique Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery Bottle 8.75" Victorian Aqua Glass
3” x 1 5/8” x 8 3/4” / 14.1 oz
Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery was produced out of Buffalo starting in the 1870's so this bottle could be from then. It was wildly popular and was used to treat lung aliments, aka consumption. I am about 2 hours from Buffalo so this bottle has probably lived it whole life central/western NY.
There is a yellowish stain inside the bottle toward the side. There is a near flea bite on the lip. It's more like a slight crack with a little roughness when you run your finger over it. There is what looks like a small spot of white paint you can see in the pictures. I imagine it could be scraped off. There is wear to the bottle throughout and it could use a detail cleaning. Please see pictures for condition detail.
