For sale is an Antique DATED 1790 Needlework Sampler Framed under glass. It was wrought by Mary Parsons at age 10 in year 1790. The classical design starts with alphabets and numbers of various styles adorned with graphic symbols (heart, tree, crown etc.), followed by a section of religious verse, then the makers signature. The bottom portion contains well designed images of birds, basket, crown, and tulip flowers.
The work is framed under glass with a narrow dark cherry wood border. The frame measures 19” by 12”. The last group of alphabets have significant losses to the stitches. No issue with the fabric in that area. All remaining area is in excellent condition! Please enlarge each photo to view the detailed condition before committing to buy.
