THIS IS A LARGE SIZED KNIFE.
IT MEASURES 4 5/8\" WHEN CLOSED & 8.25\" WHEN OPEN.
*** While standard slip-joint knives from this era are well-documented, surviving examples of this large, heavy-duty lever-release lockback pattern are remarkably difficult to find on the secondary market. A highly collectible piece of early 20th-century Connecticut industrial history, perfect for an advanced vintage pocket knife collection.***
Condition: The jigged bone handles are tight to the frame. There is a visible chip on the upper edge of the bone scale on one side (see my pics).
The blade shows a heavy antique patina and evidence of historical sharpening that was not done professionally.
The lever-release lock is fully functional, but there is a slight wobble/play when the blade is in the fully opened and locked position (see my video).
