Antique Bronze Bat Ashtray Poche Vide Tray Bradley Hubbard P.E. Guerin c. 1900 For Sale

An antique bronze ashtray, poche vide, pin tray, or dish, in the shape of a bat on wing. Unmarked, but based on stylistic similarities, it is likely this tray was manufactured by Bradley & Hubbard of Meriden, CT, or P.E. Guerin of New York City during the final decades of the nineteenth century. In raised letters beneath the bat's feet are the words "Demorest Bicycle". This ashtray was likely a piece of promotional advertising, a hand out given to the Demorest Bicycle Company's best customers. With a velvety chestnut brown patina. Unsigned. RARE!
