Fabulous antique travel documents & jewelry or vanity box, exquisitely made, lined with dark emerald green velvet and satin. Many different compartments, one for documents.
In overall good condition. Could use a good clean inside. Unfortunately there are some visible cracking across the lid (they do run with the grain), possibly age related, as well as wear to the varnish. A little bit of damage to the velvet on the left side of the inside lid as shown, could be tacked/glued down. There's also a round drink ring as shown. For the right person this would be an easy restoration project.
