Antique Ball Mason Jar Triple L Aqua Half Gallon Zinc Lid c1900-1910 For Sale

Antique Ball MASON half-gallon fruit/canning jar in beautiful pale aqua/blue-green glass, dating to approximately 1900–1910.Features the early Ball Triple-L script logo with “MASON” embossed beneath. Large half-gallon size and includes the Ball-embossed zinc screw lid with white milk-glass liner.Wonderful character throughout the old glass, including bubbles, waviness, mold seams and other manufacturing irregularities. One larger open/surface bubble is present near the bottom edge and can be felt when touched; this appears to be a manufacturing irregularity rather than later impact damage. Please see close-up photo.There is brown/yellow discoloration or residue around portions of the threaded rim, which I have chosen to leave as found rather than attempt aggressive cleaning. The zinc lid shows substantial age-related oxidation, patina, discoloration and surface wear.Glass has expected scratches/scuffs and age-related wear. No cracks or impact chips observed. Please examine all photos carefully, particularly the close-ups of the rim, base and surface bubble, as they are part of the condition description.A handsome early Ball jar with loads of character, especially in the large half-gallon size.
