Stunning Austrian Vienna-style porcelain cabinet plate featuring a richly decorated cobalt/teal iridescent ground with elaborate raised gilt (gold) decoration and a scalloped rim. The center displays a classical scene after Angelica Kauffman, commonly associated with the romantic story of Abelard & Heloise, and includes the artist name in script within the scene.
The underside bears a blue Austrian beehive mark with “AUSTRIA,” along with a handwritten inscription in red (see photos), typical of Vienna-style decorative cabinet pieces.
A true statement piece for a collector’s wall, display cabinet, or gallery-style décor.
