Antique Austrian porcelain footed cup attributed to Royal Vienna featuring beautifully detailed hand painted classical and romantic scenes with ornate raised gold gilt decoration throughout. The cup has an elegant pedestal base and flowing gilt handle, giving it a refined late Victorian / early Art Nouveau appearance.
The decoration includes multiple hand painted figural panels along with floral accents framed by intricate gold scrollwork. The underside is marked “Austria,” dating the piece to the late 19th or early 20th century, likely circa 1895–1915.
The cup presents beautifully overall and displays very well. There are no chips noted. There is one hairline visible from the interior on one side of the cup. Based on the coloration and age patina within the line, it appears to be old and stable rather than recent damage. It is not especially noticeable from the exterior during most display circumstances. There is also some age-related gold gilt wear, though the gilding remains largely intact and still gives the piece a striking presentation.
