Rare stunning antique lamp shade crafted from a large Turbo marmoratus sea snail shell. Originating from the Art Nouveau era circa 1900 to 1930, this piece is likely of Austrian or French European origin.
Beautiful natural mother-of-pearl finish. It showcases a rich, iridescent rainbow spectrum of pinks, greens, and silvers that glows when illuminated.
The top is fitted with its original metal hardware collar. It is designed to slip directly over a standard bulb socket lamp fixture to serve as an accent shade. I recommend a vintage or antique art deco or nouveau gooseneck style lamp with this shade. I have the twin to this one at my home and it works beautifully with that design.. in the last photo I showed an example photo of the one I have at my home that is the twin on a base.
โก๏ธPlease note this listing is for the shell lamp shade only; no lamp base, cord, or socket is included full lamp photo is just for example of how it looks on a base and when lit up โฌ

This piece measures approximately 5.75 inches tall by 5.75 inches wide.
The shell itself is in excellent antique condition with absolutely no cracks, chips, or repairs. The secure metal fitter wire shows a small amount of light, natural oxidation consistent with its age, which adds great vintage character.
The shade will be carefully double-boxed and heavily padded to guarantee safe transit and full shipping insurance included in shipping price.
