Charming, antique 19th century English Staffordshire Punch pitcher/jug. He measures 10” inches tall. The inside depth measures 9” 1/2 inches deep. The handle measures 5” inches. The bottom base measures 4” 3/8 by 4” 1/8 inches wide.
Condition is decent, please note he’s missing his hat/lid. There’s some wear and paint loss on the top edges of his hat. Also he has a rough spot that’s been painted, could be a factory flaw or repair. There’s also some paint loss on the left side of his back hump. Please see photos for these flaws.
There’s also a Nick and some paint loss on the left side of his sock. There’s some minor paint loss on his orange shirt in places too. Also some holes in places also could be from the factory. The bottom base has some age stains and wear also. He has a factory porcelain serial number on the bottom.
