Early primitive tin chamberstick featuring a round drip pan, tall cylindrical candle socket, side finger loop, and push-up candle mechanism.
The holder measures approximately 4 inches tall. It retains a dark aged surface with oxidation, finish loss, discoloration, scratches, and general wear consistent with considerable age. The underside and top show the same naturally aged surface.
The push-up mechanism and construction are typical of early utilitarian household candle lighting. An attractive piece for an antique lighting, primitive, early American, or country collection.
Condition: Antique used condition. Heavy age-related patina, oxidation, surface wear, finish loss, and scattered corrosion as shown. No attempt has been made to clean or polish it. Please inspect all photos carefully as they are part of the condition description.
