For sale is an authentic 19th-century European court sword / official\'s dress spadroon featuring an ornate brass hilt with a lion/crest clamshell guard and its original brass-mounted leather scabbard.

• Blade: Straight carbon steel blade decorated with fine period acid etching depicting floral scrolls and military trophies (drums, lances, cannons). Shows honest age patina and darkening, with etchings remaining visible.
• Hilt: Cast gilt brass featuring a detailed clamshell guard with an embossed lion/crest design, beaded/reeded knuckle bow, urn-shaped pommel with laurel wreath accents, and a checkered dark composite/hardwood grip.
• Scabbard: Original black leather body in good structural shape, complete with three matching brass fittings: throat/locket with carrying ring and frog stud, center suspension ring band, and brass drag/chape.
• Condition: Overall good antique condition. The hilt is tight and well-preserved. Blade shows surface oxidation and typical age marks without major structural damage.
