Offered is an original circa-1930s Postal Telegraph double-sided porcelain flange sign measuring approximately 8.5” x 10.5”.
This desirable small-format sign reads:
“Telephone Your Telegrams to Postal Telegraph From Here — Ask the Operator for ‘Postal’”
Constructed of heavy porcelain-coated steel with an integral mounting flange and original reinforced mounting holes. Both sides retain excellent deep-blue color, strong white graphics and attractive gloss.
The sign displays very well, with scattered surface scratches, light wear, minor waviness and porcelain loss concentrated around the outer edges, corners and flange. There are no repairs or restoration that I am aware of. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
A scarce piece of early American telecommunications advertising in a convenient and highly displayable size.
