Manufactured by the Continental Can Company for Armour and Company (Chicago), this lithographed tin features beautiful vintage illustrations of classic characters including Old Mother Goose, Mary's Lamb, Hey Diddle Diddle, and Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater
Crucially, this piece includes its rare, original matching metal lid featuring the iconic Armour Quality Products stamp and the "Old Mother Goose stepped out of her book..." advertising poem
Dimensions & Capacity:
• Height: 4”
• Diameter: 3.5”
• Weight: 3.3 oz
• Volume: 12 oz. size container (Labeled as 1 lb. Net Weight)
Preowned Condition Notes:
The original wire bail handle is missing from the side mounts…there is heavy, uniform rust on the bare metal underside of the tin, along with typical minor surface scratching, rim wear, and paint chipping consistent with a century of age…the lithograph colors remain charming and vibrant
