Antique Victor Victrola IV Tabletop Phonograph – Circa 1922 – Tested Working
Offered for sale is an antique Victor Victrola Model VV-IV tabletop phonograph, housed in a classic oak cabinet and dating to approximately 1922.
Manufactured by the Victor Talking Machine Company, this compact, hand-cranked phonograph is a wonderful example of early American home entertainment, from the days before electronic record players became commonplace.
What makes this particular Victrola especially appealing is that it has been tested and is operational.
Testing and Operation
I personally tested the phonograph using a record. The spring motor winds, the turntable operates, and the machine successfully plays through an entire record without stopping.
This is a functioning antique mechanical phonograph, not simply a decorative display piece.
The machine has not been professionally serviced or restored, and its long-term mechanical performance cannot be guaranteed.
