This fascinating piece of early 20th-century Southern medical history features a fully handwritten prescription on official letterhead by prominent Columbia physician Dr. Theo M. DuBose.

• The Front: Features the doctor\'s printed office header and telephone number \"33\". The prescription is written out for \"Angiers Petrol Emul. 1 Bot\" (Angier\'s Petroleum Emulsion, a popular remedy of the era used for throat and lung ailments) with dosage instructions \"after meals & at bed time.\" It is signed by Dr. DuBose at the bottom right.

• The Back:Features a bold, stylized logo print for Thomas\' Drug Store located at 1611 Main Street. It includes their vintage tagline: \"Prescriptions Carefully and Accurately Compounded by Competent Pharmacists.\" There are various faint pencil notations and handling marks from the pharmacist who filled it.
