Antique divided-back romance postcard, postmarked 1914. A courting couple in Edwardian dress share a kiss in a leafy garden. She sits in a pale blue gown with a lace collar, and he leans in holding a straw boater hat. The verse banner at top reads \"I\'m enjoying my vacation / In this fine situation.\" The scene is framed in a golden-yellow border with a printed red wax seal bearing a gold clover in the lower corner.
The back is printed \"Made in United States\" and \"Serie 5,\" with a small circular monogram logo. The card is postally used, with a green one-cent U.S. postage stamp. The sender\'s postmark is partially legible (\"SPR…\") and dated the 23rd, 1914, and a Salt Lake City cancel also appears on the picture side. It is addressed to a gentleman on South State Street in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a handwritten note: \"Dear John, Hope you all are well. Am having a fine time. I wish you would write to me. Well I guess I will have to close. With love, Ruth. P.S. Write soon.\"
