This is a rare , antique Eveready Vest Pocket Flashlight featuring the patented December 17, 1912 hinged-bottom design.
Unlike most of these models found online which are sold completely "untested," this unit has been successfully tested and the bulb does light up.
It was tested using a temporary 2x AA battery configuration. (The original batteries are no longer in production.)
Please Note (Switch Functionality): The original mechanical switch is worn due to age and is intermittent. Currently, you need to apply slight physical pressure to the back of the casing to get it to click on firmly. Additionally, it occasionally stays powered on when slid into the "off" position. It could be that my temporary battery pack is causing the switch issue. I’m not for certain if that’s the case or if the switch needs repairs. The interior has been lightly cleaned, but the switch mechanisms likely need a minor physical adjustment or tensioning by a collector to restore 100% smooth operation. No permanent physical modifications have been made to the historic metal chassis.Perfect addition for any vintage technology collector, flashlight enthusiast, or restoration hobbyist! Sold as-is.
