Antique 1911 Union Cutlery Co Olean NY Real Pearl 2 Bl Equal End Pen Knife As Is For Sale

Extremely rare antique Union Cutlery Company two-blade equal end Senator style pen pocket knife manufactured in Olean, New York, dating precisely between 1911 and 1923. This scarce pre-KA-BAR specimen represents the earliest production era from the historic Olean facility, featuring highly clear and legible block-letter factory tang stamps reading UNION CUT. CO. OLEAN N.Y. struck on both steel components. Closed length tracks at exactly 3 1/8 inches with a 1 3/4 inch main blade.

This knife is being sold strictly as-is for parts, repair, or a dedicated historical cutlery restoration project. The genuine mother-of-pearl handle scales exhibit severe damage, with a large chunk completely broken off and missing on one side near the bolster pinning, exposing the underlying brass liner. The carbon steel blades show heavy historical sharpening wear, profile loss, and deep pitting/oxidation typical of an estate-found antique tool. The internal springs, fluted nickel silver bolsters, and brass liners remain structurally solid, making this an invaluable donor piece for salvaging ultra-scarce, century-old authentic Union Cutlery repair components. The large blade still has snap. Please, please look at the high resolution photos for condition details, as this is a parts or repair donor knife with extremely rare tang stamp on the main blade.
