There appears to be a lot of these screwdrivers made with these perfect handles by other manufacturers. Mine has no markings. Mine is, however, 14" long which is particularly large for what I see on . In excellent condition with one minor and old wood chip near base of screwdriver. See photos for condition and many close-ups of this piece.
Google identifies this as:
• Design: Known as the "Perfect Handle" design, patented around 1910 by the H.D. Smith & Company of Plantsville, Connecticut.
• Construction: Features a single forged steel bar running the full length of the tool, with two wood handle grips held in place by metal rivets or pins.
• Head Type: Slotted (flathead) tip.
• Collectibility: Popular with antique hand-tool collectors and still rugged enough for light restoration or display use.
