Stunning antique set circa 1900 to 1905. Beautiful vibrant image on the lid, box opens to a beautiful Dusty Tiffany Blue interior and an incredible set of pencils.
Inside of the lid is stamped with a golden seal for Eagle Pencil Company in New York, and there are four pencils in the box.
*The Obelisk Number Two (purple) and the pale green ribbed 415 Colonial Number Two are is not sharpened.
*The smooth wooden pencil has been sharpened, but never used. It does not have any markings on it, but has the exact same eraser cap as the others so I believe they are of the same set.
*There is a golden pencil holder that removes to expose a hidden nib in one end, and a half pencil in the other.
*Inside the compartments of the box are a collapsible cup, a container of nibs, an excellently sharp sharpener, and a disc eraser.
A very special treasure inside includes the Seasons Greeting holiday tag that was hidden underneath the compartments. I'm keeping it in there because I think it belongs with the set.
In amazing condition for being well over 100 years old, colors are still vibrant. There is some wear at the edges of the box, the front right and left corners of the lid have the most wear. Stunning!
