On a gently domed rocky base covered with grass and supported by a tree stump stands a boy with clasped (wringing) hands, gazing sorrowfully down toward the ground to his left.
He wears a white suit with purple trim (borders). His grey hair is tied at the back of his neck.
This model is documented in the historic reference Höchster Porzellan (c. 1925) as No. 446, Tafel 79g, titled “Jammernder Knabe“, with a recorded height of 15.5 cm and the Höchst underglaze blue wheel mark.
Condition: Excellent original condition. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. An exceptionally well-preserved example, remaining exactly as it left the Höchst manufactory over 240 years ago.
