Up for sale is a 100% authentic, original turn-of-the-century antique celluloid advertising premium pinback button manufactured by the legendary Whitehead & Hoag Co. of Newark, NJ.Subject: Features a vibrant, multi-colored lithograph portrait of an unnamed Native American Indian Chief wearing a full feather war bonnet.Markings & Authenticity: The back tin shell is explicitly stamped with the original July 21, 1896 patent date and early Allied Printing Trades Council union label stamping. Features the early straight, open-loop pin closure and a crimped notched collet rim.Size: Measures exactly 1.25 inches (1-1/4") in diameter.Condition: Offered in as-is antique condition with spectacular, bright color preservation on the central image.
