Antique 1890s Adams Bros Portrait Cabinet Card Photo Backstamp Ogden Utah For Sale

An original antique late 19th-century Victorian era cabinet card photograph featuring a handsome portrait of a gentleman with a prominent, full period beard.
This highly collectible example is fully marked on both sides. The front margin features the elegant brown-ink printed studio logo: "Adams Bros. - OGDEN, UTAH.". The reverse showcases the complete, crisp, and beautifully ornate Victorian lithographed backstamp reading: "Adams Bros. / Portrait and Landscape Photographers, OGDEN, UTAH.". The Adams brothers were notable pioneer-era photographers documenting the rapidly growing railroad hub of Ogden and Weber County during the late 1800s. The photograph exhibits fine contrast and details, mounted on the traditional heavy cream-colored cardstock of the period with lightly rounded corners and minor edge wear consistent with age. A wonderful, complete, and authentic piece of regional Utah history and early Western Americana portraiture (ephemera).
