Antique hand-made,original ImperialRussian Vishnyakov hand-paintedpapier-mache lacquer box. The painting depicts a traditional Russianwinter scene – a three horse “Troika” racing through the snowycountryside. The inside of the box is painted silver. The VishnyakovFactory seal is on the inside lid and dates the box to the 1870speriod.

Thebox measures approximately 7 inches long, 4 3/8 inches wideand 2 inches tall. The box is in excellent vintage condition. Thehinge works properly.
