Antique 1870s Ames Knights of Pythias FCB Ceremonial Sword & Scabbard – Chicopee:
$300.00

Antique Knights of Pythias ceremonial sword featuring the traditional FCB (Friendship, Charity, Benevolence) emblem and K.P. insignia on the ornate brass guard. The hilt is richly decorated with figural eagle/falcon quillons, a knight-form pommel, ribbed grip, and hanging chain.

The etched steel blade is marked Ames Mfg. Co., Chicopee, Mass., one of the best-known American sword makers of the 19th century. The sword retains its original decorated metal scabbard with raised fraternal and military-style motifs.

Likely dating to the late 19th century, circa 1870s–1880s. Displays age-appropriate wear, surface oxidation, patina, and finish loss consistent with its age. Blade remains straight and the decorative details are well preserved overall.

A strong example of early American fraternal regalia and a desirable collectible for Knights of Pythias, Ames sword, Masonic/fraternal, military, or antique weapon collectors.

ships VERY safely with plenty of protective material.
