Wonderful early 19th century hand painted bentwood box featuring a primitive floral rose design in deep red, green and gold tones. Interior has an old handwritten inscription including the name Anna and the date 1810. Traditional bentwood construction with small wooden stitched joins. Measures about 7-3/4". Authentic age related wear throughout including paint loss, staining, surface wear, small splits and separation consistent with its considerable age. Please review photos carefully.
