Beautiful antique white ironstone covered sugar bowl dating to the 19th century.This is such a pretty example of early white ironstone, with a wonderfully shaped fluted body, scalloped rim, two graceful handles and raised molded leaf and berry detailing. The original domed lid is finished with an unusual open loop finial.The underside bears a faint impressed maker’s mark, which I have photographed.
